Hangzhou Safari Park with beautiful mountains and natural-bestowed
glory is planned to cover 3500mu, thus is the largest-scaled safari park in Eastern

By functions, the park is divided
into three big areas such as sightseeing area, services area and zoological buffer
etc.
Sightseeing area consists of riding area and
walking area. Park designing has got rid of shortcomings¡ª¡ªman watching caged animals
of the first generation of domestic zoos and animals watching caged man with reference
to foreign modes of safari parks of Singapore, Korea and Europe and America. It
builds a new generation of safari park of open leisure sighting mode which fully
shows the harmonious co-existing of man, animal and the nature. On aspect of animal
distributing, it follows the principle of rare animals first, valuable animal
second and animal of large-species after and breeds animals loosely, half loosely,
in a pen, solely or mixing together according to animal behaviors, characteristics
and ferocities. There are over 20 sight spots such as peacock park, orang museum,
swan lake, Asian field and African field etc, having animals of nearly 200 species,
10.000 heads. And it also puts out choice series£ºFour Whites--white lions, white
tigers, white rhinoceros and white kangaroos£»Chinese Four Treasures--pandas, red
ibises, golden takins and golden monkeys.
Logistic
guarantee area is combined by animal hospital, separate quarantine field, fodder
plant etc, mainly responsible for wild animal rescuing, quarantine, breeding,
domesticating, monitoring and fodder supplying.
Zoological
buffer is a ring zone sited between the sight-seeing area and the bounding wall,
where grows flowers, lawns, trees and animal fodder ryegrass
in large acreage. Establishment of zoological buffer not only avoids the disturbance
on the park from outside but also creates an excellent zoological atmosphere for
the whole park.
In order to provide better services,
there also builds service and entertainment facilities such as 3-star hotels,
several performance fields, dining halls, tea bars, shops and sight pavilions
etc. Sapphire Performance Field of them is a place with capacity of holding 8000
persons to watch circus performance. And the biggest snack room can hold 1000
eaters one time. For traffic convenience of tourists, the park opens No 514 special
bus line and purchases over 30 accumulator buses. It also sets up a animal popular
knowledge gallery and has trained over 30 guides to give relevant introduction.
Its complete service facilities and a professional staff team of nearly 600 persons
grant the park with a capacity of receiving 60,000 tourists daily.
